Golden Rose ~ Rich Color #42

Golden Rose ~ Rich Color #42
Cornflower blue packed with silver shimmer

Today I am wearing a cornflower blue polish from Golden Rose. It doesn’t appear to have a name, but instead the number which is the meaning of life, the universe and everything, namely 42.

The formula is fantastic and so is the wide brush. This is a true one coater. I did apply two coats because that’s what I like best, but it didn’t make any difference in what it looked like on the nails. The drying time is good.

Here’s two coats and no topcoat taken in the sun:

The shimmer is amazing in this polish. I love it when there is so much of it.

I added glitter because I was really in the mood for glitter. I dug out an old NYX called Spotlight, it has got number NGP168. I applied one layer of the glitter and a layer of topcoat. Here’s the final mani:

I am a big fan of glitter, I love glittery nails so much.

It was actually nice to dig out an oldie but goodie.

Number of coats: 2 – but 1 is enough
Drying time: Good
Finish: crème packed with shimmer
Overall impression: Fantastic formula and quality and I love the brush

Colors by Llarowe ~ The Journey Begins

Colors by Llarowe ~ The Journey Begins
Raspberry red jelly base with glowing holo flake and shimmer

Today I wanted to make my nails really pretty. You know, the kind of manicure that you just don’t want to remove again. I grabbed The Journey Begins, which is from The Journey Begins collection from Autumn 2016. It’s a really beautiful red with some really amazing holo goodness added to it.

I used two coats for my mani and the drying time was really good. It’s the kind of polish that you don’t want on your cuticles because once it’s there it doesn’t want to let go again :D

This is two coats and a layer of topcoat in the sun.

I love this polish, it’s so gorgeous!

I stamped on it to give it a little bit of extra bling. I chose an “open” design from the stamping plate UR Beautiful-02 and I stamped with China Glaze’s “Harmony” from the Romantique collection from 2009. A great polish for stamping – and I’ve heard that lots of the polishes from that collection are great stampers.

Anyway, this is the final mani, including one more layer of topcoat:

One last shot, just because I can.

I love this. This is exactly what I wanted!

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Really good
Finish: Jelly with holo flakes and shimmer
Overall impression: I love this polish, everything is great about it!

OPI ~ Purple with a Purpose

OPI ~ Purple with a Purpose
Purple with shimmer

Purple with a Purpose. What a lovely name for a lovely polish. It’s seems like the purpose of this purple is to be pretty!

I used two easy coats for desired opacity. The drying time was good too. And wow, I really like this purple.

Take a look at two coats and a layer of topcoat:

Isn’t that shimmer just gorgeous?!

I stamped on it. I chose a motif from UR Beautiful-03 and stamped with Kiko’s #616 from the Mirror collection. It’s a great collection of metallic polishes that work amazingly for stamping. It’s a long time since they discontinued the collection unfortunately.

This is my final mani, including another layer of topcoat:

I love silver and purple together.

I love this mani. And I love my clear stamper that allows me to make all nails look the same when I want them to.

Number of coats: 2
Drying time: Good
Finish: Shimmer
Overall impression: I love this purple, and the quality is really good
